Short diploma courses are for therapists wanting to work mobile or on friends and family. They are recognised within the UK and an insurable qualification with certain insurance companies.
VTCT courses are internationally recognised qualifications that involve more in-depth learning, multiple choice end tests and assessments but hold a higher recognised status and will enable you to work in a nail bar or salon.
How is the award achieved?
You will come to the academy to learn the practical part of nail extensions and will be set an assignment on nail enhancements to do at home along with case studies on your friends or family. You will then return your coursework to your tutor for marking and come back when you have done 3 client case studies on friends or family at home.
You will return to the academy for a multiple choice test along with Day 2 of the infill procedure and rebalancing of the nails and be set some more case studies to do on infills.
You will come back for an additional day for the final assessment where you will be graded a pass, merit or distinction based on your competence.
